Overview

We are no longer taking registration for this course.

Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) training prepares non-intensivists to manage critically ill patients for the first 24 hours until transfer or appropriate critical care consultation can be arranged. The course and its companion text assist the non-intensivist in dealing with the sudden deterioration of critically ill patients and prepares house staff and nurses for ICU coverage. The course is often used to prepare residents for rotations in the ICU.

The two day course is via Zoom. Zoom Etiquette: Business casual is very appropriate for this conference. To earn full credit for the course, participants must enable their video feed for the entire two day course (7:30am - 5:00pm EST) and are asked to mute their audio. Participants may unmute to ask questions and participate in class discussions.  Participants must pass the post-test with a score of 70% in order to receive certification which is valid for four (4) years; course is offered by UMass biannually (spring and fall).
