This program has been designed to address best practices in the use of simulation based education facilitation in a supportive, diverse, inclusive and equitable environments. Participants will be able to define healthcare based simulation, the role of the facilitator, differentiate and choose between appropriate simulation modalities, explain the key phases of simulation and describe pre-briefing and debriefing in simulation based education.

1. Define healthcare based simulation.
2. Differentiate between simulation modalities.
3. Explain the key phases of simulation based education.
4. Describe pre-briefing and debriefing in medical simulation.
5. Discuss considerations for diversity, equity, inclusion in medical simulation.
