As part of our commitment to training in primary care, the UMass Chan Medical School - Office of Continuing Medical Education offers this program to provide updates on a wide range of rapidly changing primary care topics.

Physicians: The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: This program meets the requirements for 9.3 contact hours for nurses as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in nursing (244-CMR 5.04).  

All Other Healthcare Professionals: Will receive a certificate which states the activity was designated for 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™.

Nurse Practitioners: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 credits™ from organization accredited by the ACCME. 

Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 credits™ for AAPA Category 1 CME Credit.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration before March 22, 2024, your fee is refundable less a processing charge of $75.  After that date, no refund will be given for any reason, including weather and other emergencies, substitutions are always welcome.   UMass Chan Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel a program at any time caused by circumstances not under its control.  Persons registered in a cancelled program will be notified by email, using the email address provided when registering for the program.  Registration fees will be refunded if the program is cancelled by the Office of Continuing Medical Education.  There may also be changes in the program content cause by circumstances beyond the control of the Office of Continuing Medical Education.
